Johnson City, TENN. – Tri-Cities developer Mitch Cox and Silverdale Partners, GP, acquired the former Traco window and door manufacturing plant on Silverdale Drive on July 16th, 2014. The 155,000 square foot building, which has been vacant since 2009 when Traco moved its operations to Pittsburgh, will soon be an upscale, technologically advanced business center.

The former Traco building, now called Silverdale Commons, will be the headquarters for Mitch Cox Companies and Universal Companies. Mitch Cox Companies will occupy 15,000 square feet of the building while Universal Companies will occupy 40,000 square feet. The remaining 100,000 square feet is available to be leased to tenants. As of today, Professional Appliance Direct and Just Jump are confirmed as tenants for Silverdale Commons and will be utilizing 20,000 square feet each. The total facility encompasses 15 acres and can facilitate another 50,000 square feet of new construction.
