Photos of other Mitch Cox apartment community developments that will resemble The Villas at Avery Creek upon completion
In December of 2017, Mitch Cox Companies and its partner Universal Development & Construction (UDC) broke ground on a new multifamily apartment home community in southern Buncombe County in Asheville, North Carolina.
The community, called The Villas at Avery Creek, will transform 15.4 acres of land into 255 townhomes, a clubhouse, pool, playground, exercise facility, and other neighborhood amenities.
The community will offer one, two, and three-bedroom units, some with drive-under garages. Rents are expected to start around $795 for a one-bedroom unit.
With grading already underway, the first units are expected to be available for rent in the fall of 2018, barring any unforeseen delays.
The Villas at Avery Creek is the company’s eighth multifamily development in its portfolio of nearly 1,500 apartment units and marks the company’s entrance into the North Carolina market.

The project is being spearheaded by Daniel Lewis, Senior Project Manager, Multifamily at Mitch Cox Construction, Inc. “When we’re doing 300+ units a year, it requires a high level of organization, team communication, and accountability,” said Mitch Cox, Founder and CEO. “Daniel Lewis does a really good job at that. He’s a team player, a big picture manager, and he gets the job done.”
