Johnson City, TENN. – On Tuesday, November 19, 2013, Paragon Diner opened its doors for the first time at their new location at 2010 Franklin Terrace Court, Johnson City, TN 37604 (former site of the Atlanta Bread Company). The restaurant offers guests all-American cuisine and homemade-quality food with a splash of Mediterranean and a touch of Greek for the whole family.
Their specialties include an all-day breakfast, specialty sandwiches for lunch, and steak, seafood and pasta for dinner. They are open from 6:30am to 10:00pm Monday through Sunday.
Formed at the beginning of this year, Paragon Diner, LLC is the proprietary management company consisting of owners Peter Simeon, Gus Coubis, and Harry Arsi. Together, they own and operate two more restaurants in North Carolina and have over fifty-five years of experience in the restaurant industry.
John Speropulos, president of Mitch Cox Realtor, Inc. represented Paragon Diner, LLC in finding a building to fit their needs. The group approached Speropulos in February of 2013 and signed the lease on August 18, 2013.
Arsi said, “[John] was especially insightful in regard to the Johnson City retail market. He knew exactly what we needed and found it for us.”
The building underwent a total renovation leaving the Paragon Diner with an open, simple yet elegant, relaxed interior design including a fireplace.
The name “Paragon Diner” comes from the definition of the word “paragon,” which means “a person or thing viewed as a model of excellence.” Simeon said, “We chose this name because it symbolizes our mission and the standard at which we seek to serve the Johnson City community.” There is no relation to other Paragon Diners across the USA.
Paragon Diner serves over 150 large-portion dishes with an average price of ten dollars. Military, police, firefighters and any other public service personnel in a uniform receive a 15% discount off the bill.
