JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – On Thursday, August 15, 2013, the Board of Directors of Hotel Management Services, Inc. (HMS), a division of the Mitch Cox Companies, promoted Paula Hollins from Area Manager/Field Trainer to Vice President of Operations. HMS is a hospitality management company that operates ten Value Place Hotels across the USA. The Value Place properties are located in Elgin (Columbia), Lexington (Columbia), Greenville, Duncan, and Simpsonville, SC; Macon, GA (two properties); Johnson City, TN; Evansville, IN; and Champaign, IL.
Hollins has been in the property management industry since February of 2000. She began her career with Value Place Hotels in 2007 as a General Manager and has since opened five properties and managed over fifteen locations. She was hired by HMS in June of 2010. She is responsible for hiring, training and retaining the staff for all ten of the HMS Value Places, managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, inventory control and computer software support.
Throughout her career with Value Place Hotels, Paula has won six consecutive Centurion Awards for 100% occupancy, the Pinnacle Property Award in 2008, the 2009 Operator of the Year Award, and the 2012 Brand Champion by Value Place for achieving five consecutive years of high scores on Quality Assurance reviews while also driving revenue.
