Hotel Management Services, Inc. (HMS), a separate entity of Mitch Cox Companies, acquired two extended stay hotels in the Orlando, Florida market on May 15, 2015, bringing the portfolio under management to fourteen hotels.

Philip Cox, president of HMS, said, “I’m excited about this acquisition because of the continued growth of the Orlando market and the fact that we were able to purchase well below replacement cost. The potential for improvement is huge and we hope to take advantage of that. I’m also excited about our management company because of the positive opportunities we can provide in the lives of our employees and customers.”

Both hotels are franchise properties of the Value Place brand, soon to be rebranded nation-wide as “WoodSpring Suites.” There are nearly 200 locations in the United States.

One hotel is located in Clermont (West Orlando) while the other is located on Clarcona Ocoee Road. Both hotels are minutes from Universal Studios, University of Central Florida, Sea World, and Disney World.
