About Mid-Atlantic Roofing Supply

Mid-Atlantic Roofing Supply (MARS) moved its commercial roofing operation to 20,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space at Silverdale Commons. Randy Johnson, president of MARS in Johnson City, signed the lease with Mitch Cox Realtor on July 22, 2015.

First opening in September 2012, the Johnson City MARS branch grew from one employee to seven employee in three years. Mr. Johnson said, “We plan to be outgrowing the Silverdale building in 3-5 years with 25-30 employees.”

The space will have 2,500 SF of office space including a showroom and a conference room. Firestone, one of MARS largest vendors, asked Mr. Johnson if it could host its architectural continued-education meetings in the new facility.

Mr. Johnson said, “We needed a lot of space to keep growing in the Tri-Cities. When we saw the accessibility to I-26, the other tenants, and the presentation of the Silverdale Commons facility, it was an easy decision to make.”

Mitch Cox Construction is building the interior of the new MARS space. Odell Cash, president of Mitch Cox Construction, estimates the project to be completed November 13, 2015 with the address of 2304 Silverdale Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601.
